To Our Good Seed Church Family:

 

We have been closely following the local and national updates for COVID-19, and have been blessed to continue services until now. The latest local and national updates advise that gatherings with 10 or more people increases the risk of exposure and transmission of the virus. Expert health professionals are canceling all essential meetings and asking everyone to practice social distancing. To protect our congregation, we are postponing all in-person events and gatherings at World Theater until we are cleared to congregate.  

 

For many, the spread of this virus has caused fear and anxiety. Yet we are grateful that the Bible tells us, “God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7). We pray that you would sense God’s peace in the midst of these difficult circumstances. This does not mean we should be careless or reactionary, but rather walk in wisdom as we serve the Lord and our community in a way that demonstrates our trust in God and our love for people.

By closing our doors at this time:

• We are loving our neighbors by protecting our neighbors.

• We are not being fearful. We are being responsible.

• This is what love requires of us in this season.

• This is a great opportunity to remind everyone that the church is not a building, but a body of believers following Jesus…not a place, but a people.

We love you and are praying for you and your families’ continued safety and well-being. We are praying for all those who have been affected by this virus and for a cure from heaven. Let us also keep our medical community lifted up in prayer as they deal with the impact of this crisis. We will continue to keep you updated and look forward to our new grand opening date.
